MY VIEW FROM THE CHAIR

Well, mum and dad say that time stands still for no man, and I guess that includes me. I'm now a whole 3 years old and causing chaos at nursery. It's cool! All the girl's love me, which is only natural, so one try's ones best to accommodate them. Oh to be popular.

His Majesty King Hugo the First is still ruling over his kingdom, Dogdom, and he's not turning out too badly for a doggy. He still rules with an iron bone but he's starting to communicate more with me which is good.

His majesty on his morning constitutional

His majesty, as always, has been sharing his council and wisdom with me. He has also made at my disposal the advise of his Lord Chamberlain, Prime Minister and, should I feel threatened, his Chief of Defence. As this is a unilateral Kingdom it is not hard to find these holders of office. All it takes is a change of state collar.

About Ptolemy

Ptolemy  Burn was  born in   2003.

A number of people have already enquired "Why Ptolemy?" and "Where does the name come from?".  Firstly we've named our son Ptolemy because we like it and secondly, for those who can manage to digest the musings of the academic's, here is a link which will tell you about Claudius Ptolemy who young Master Burn is named after. Be warned, it's hard reading at times!

For those of you who just want a simple answer.........he was a Greek astronomer, mathematician and geographer.
