MY VIEW ON EVERYTHING Time has moved on since I last updated my page and one has matured in to one suave, sophisticated member of the Burn family. As you can see from my latest offering above, which is taken from my spring 2009 portfolio, I have been fortunate to inherit my father's good looks. Thankfully, the caterpillar gene lies dormant so my grandfather's moustache has not been taken root on my upper lip as yet, hence I have no fear of scaring the ladies for some time yet, which is of great comfort! Talking of ladies, life is not always easy for me, even though I am the grand old age of five. The adulation I receive each and every morning from those of the fairer gender in my reception class does take some getting used to, however I just smile and extend my charm, panache and intelligent tête-à-tête to each individual to brighten their day.
His Majesty King Hugo the First is still ruling with an iron bone. His Royal Household are attending to his every whim and he wants for nothing. Even the Royal Hairdresser travels from Leicester just to give him a shampoo and setter. In August 2009 His Majesty was introduced to a long lost cousin, Barney , Prince of Worksop. The celebrations commenced with a march past headed by the the 1st East London Westie Regiment, the Barking and Digging-ems, who have just returned from duty with the Border Collie and Immigration Service . The event was a great success and the Royal pair have met up regularly since.
1st East London Westie Regiment in action The King, on the occasion of the celebration of His Majesty's birthday, was pleased to give promotions in, and appointments to, the Most Extinguished Order of the Bark, to a number of those who had given loyal service .

About Ptolemy Ptolemy Burn was born in 2003. A number of people have already enquired "Why Ptolemy?" and "Where does the name come from?". Firstly we've named our son Ptolemy because we like it and secondly, for those who can manage to digest the musings of the academics, here is a link which will tell you about Claudius Ptolemy who young Master Burn is named after. Be warned, it's hard reading at times!
For those of you who just want a simple answer.........he was a Greek astronomer, mathematician and geographer.
